The Product 

The panel is a clean retrofit product that gives a very effective means of reducing boiler fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.  Metallised saw tooth radiator panels simultaneously increase the warmth and comfort levels in the rooms reducing condensation and cold spots.  The saw tooth radiator panel shown has been designed, after significant research and practical usage, to give optimum efficiency with low fitting costs. 

Cost Effective 

Payback periods will vary according to the conditions into which the panels are installed.   Whilst it is the experience of Environment 2000 Limited that the highest percentage savings are achieved in buildings that are well insulated and well controlled, the greatest quantity of energy is saved in lower specification properties.  Typically an 8 - 15% reduction of the boilers annual fuel usage can be expected (when calculated using EEO approved analysis).

Usually the extent of the savings coupled with the low capital cost of installation result in fast payback periods being achieved, in many cases within 12 months.  The panels are maintenance free.

Increased Comfort Levels
In a test conducted at the inner wall surfaces of a building using actual BRE test figures, the heat made available by the reduction in temperature at the holding wall is distributed throughout the room area and air temperature at all levels increase.   Please select the graph on the right to view in more detail.
In a test conducted at Nottingham City Hospital using Thermal Imaging cameras from outside the building show just how effective our Radiator Insulation Panels are. Comparison of A and D shows extremely efficient performance of panel, reducing heat loss through the wall.

After panel fitment the increased air acceleration and redirection of the airflow pattern, achieves a more even distribution of heat, which raises comfort levels for all the occupants: this benefit is felt immediately.  Saw Tooth Rad-Panels particularly effective when used with LST radiators.

Simplicity

The panels are fitted without removing the radiators from the wall using industrial strength double-sided tape with panel adhesives as appropriate.  All tapes and adhesives used have been tried and tested in fitting panels onto numerous wall types and coverings.  Our fitters are fully trained: fitting is carried out without mess with the minimum disturbance to the occupants.  The panels are normally fitted below the line of sight and inset from the edges of the radiator.
